Commissioned Watercolor Portraits & Paintings

I also paint Commissioned Paintings in watercolor. These are commissioned portraits of your family members, your dog, cat, bird, horse, etc. The connection between the Native Americans and animals are a big part in my paintings. So I am always incorporating them into my paintings. Well, one morning my 14 year old beloved yellow lab, Evie, woke me up and (I know this is going to sound crazy), but the strong feeling I was getting from her was she wanted me to paint her. So when I got to my gallery, she posed while I painted her. However, I also needed to include my 4 year old beloved Chocolate lab, Dakota, as well. So as a result, I got the big desire to start offering Commissioned Paintings, so other people can also have a very special memorial to their beloved and best friends. I know it won’t be much longer before I lose my precious and devoted dog, Evie, but now I know I captured her spirit in the painting that she wanted me to do, which will always be with me to honor her and keep her close. I would like to offer you that same pleasure.

You truly were the one meant to do it... thanks again for your excellent work and your timely responses. Best of luck, Amy"

Heather and Charlie - Shaun Howard, Vallejo, California

Testimonial: "The portrait of Heather and Charlie is everything that I expected and more. My family has had a chance to see the portrait (as you know this is a Christmas gift for Heather), and they all love it! My sister-in-law went in to great detail, as to tell me how hard it is to paint in water color. I can only speak from what I see, and what I see is a gift, and Tracy you have that gift. Thank you, Shaun Howard"

Evie and Dakota

James & Madison at Wilson Hall - Commissioned by Dick Myers - Myers Chevrolet - Elkton, VA.

Testimonial: "Wow, I love it! You've captured the personalities of both dogs and also JMU's Wilson Hall. My wife will probably cry when she receives this for Christmas. Thank you."

Sport - Commissioned by M. E. DeHaven of Winchester, VA.

Testimonial: "Hi Tracy- Just wanted to let you know that my husband really liked the portrait of Sport. We think you captured his beauty and his personality. He hangs in our living room and everyone that see's it really thinks you did a great job. We also see a bear image behind his head, looking through his ears. I can't remember the significance of a bear to Native Americans, but I'm sure it is of some importance."

Lucky - Commissioned by Joan Lodders of Richmond, VA

Testimonial: "Dearest Tracy, You have such a special gift. It's as if you looked into Lucky's soul - the portrait is so realistic, it feel like Lucky is communicating with me..."

Shelby - commissioned by Christine H. of Woodstock, VA, as a gift to a friend, Laura H.

Testimonial: "Dear Tracy, Just a quick note to thank you for painting the pet portrait of Laura's dog, Shelby. Laura was so pleased with the outcome of the portrait. She really liked it and felt like it captured the essence of Shelby. In fact, they shared the portrait with Shelby herself and she sniffed it and cocked her head in confusion so it definitely was a strong likeness to her. - Christine"

Natoka - Commissioned by Carol G. of Bridgewater, VA.

Testimonial: "Tracy, you captured "Toka" perfectly- I didn't know if you would (because you only had a picture), but you did and Bill will be so pleased! You are gifted! Thank you so much and for mailing it, too. - Carol"

Bailey - commissioned by Cathy H. of Freeport, Florida.

Testimonial: "Dear Tracy, I just wanted to let you know that we think the painting of Bailey is beautiful. You did a fantastic job, and it's all I imagined it would be, and more. The painting is just so real and life-like. Thanks for taking such special care and for wrapping it so carefully. Love, Cathy"
